Using the small business you analyzed in the Unit 1 Individual Project, you will describe 3 marketing and promotional approaches to the product/service, but they will be oriented toward different target demographics. The best approaches developed in this reports will be included in the Unit 3 IP.

Part 1: Demographic Research

Choose 3 different target demographics (e.g., teens, parents, seniors).

  • Describe how you might market to each demographic. What main sales promotion techniques will you use? Be specific.
  • Concepts can include packaging, promotions, or any advertising methods that would reflect a different approach for each segment.

Describe at least 3 promotional techniques for each demographic segment. This section of the paper should be 3 pages in length and uses research from the company’s website, local news media and should refer to findings and data in Parts 1 and 3 of the U1 IP.

It is necessary to back up your decisions with theory from the text or expert advice and real-world information from professional or scholarly sources in the AIU library. This section of the paper should be 2 pages in length and uses research from the text and articles in the library’s full-text databases.

Your assignment should contain a cover page, an abstract page and a reference page in addition to the body. The body of the paper should be 5 pages in length, starting with a brief 1-paragraph introduction and ending with a short conclusion. The entire submission will be 8–10 pages in length.

Risk Management

In this project, you will be given the opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of the risk management concepts covered in this and previous units in the course.  

Select a real or imagined workplace setting that involves hazards created by two or more of the hazard sources discussed in Chapters 14-27. Your assignment is to identify and assess the risks in this workplace, propose tactics for reducing the risks, and evaluate the residual risks. Your submission should include the following: 

 A brief description of the workplace setting and an explanation of the tasks in this workplace.   Identification of hazards and risks in the workplace; Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), or Fault Tree Analysis are to be used, or some combination of these techniques.   Assessment of the identified risks before risk reduction efforts are applied, using a 5×5 Risk Assessment Matrix.  Identification of risk reduction tactics to be applied with a brief justification for each tactic selected; multiple tactics can be applied to each risk if needed.   Re-assessment of the risks after tactics are applied, using a 5X5 matrix.  Discussion of the residual risks, and whether you feel they are at a tolerable level.  

The project must be a minimum of four pages, and a maximum of seven pages in length, not including the title, abstract, and reference pages. Use APA formatting where applicable.
